My Story

Since I want to be a writer when I get older, I decided I would practice. So I am writing a story. I haven't decided a name just yet. I am on the 13th page, but I am using a notebook so that is a lot of writing. I am hoping to fill up the entire notebook. Here is the summary so far,

Kayla has the perfect life. The best bestfriend, the greatest boyfriend, and an awesome reputation at her school. But when she finds out she is moving from Denver, Colorado to North Carolina, things change a little bit. Her boyfriend breaks up with her and she loses her best friend. She meets this boy in NC, named Riley. With gorgeous eyes and hair, she falls for fast. He likes her back. Simple boy and girl crushes. But something is going on with her parents, but what? Will she figure it out and save her family but lose Riley or will she pay too much attention to Riley and lose her family? Is it a risk worth taking?

Well, I hoped you liked my summary. Maybe, when the story is finished, I will post it on a website for you all to see it. Just maybe.

The Letter

Do you know who Lisi Harrison is? You should. She writes my favorite book series, "The Clique". There are many books out so far, I believe 8. There will be 12, you'll soon find out how I know this.

When I first started reading the series, it really got me hooked, because it is about middle school life, drama, and guys(major subject I get an A in). I decided to write her a letter, I do not remember what I wrote, it was so long ago. But, finally, she wrote me back, answering 10 questions I wrote her.

1. When will THE CLIQUE be a movie?
A: It is coming! The dvd comes out November 18th, 2008! Thank gawd!
2. Who are the girls on the cover supposed to be?
A: They are models representing a clique, not the clique. We choose our characters.
3. Which character is most like you?
A: Massie- she loves fashion, bratty comebacks, and her puppy. Claire- she has learned to accept herself for who she is. Dylan- she cracks up at burps. But NOT like Kristin because she stinks at sports.
4. How are you able to write books for tweens when you are an adult?
A: She WAS a tween.
5. How did you come up with the idea to write about this?
A: She worked for MTV.
6. Any advice for wannabe writers? (My fave question)
A: 1.) Write every day. It doesn't have to be good or interesting or grammatically correct. Just write anyway. It will keep your juices flowing and I guarantee that by the end of each session, you will have at least one good sentence that you can use in the future. 2.) Read a lot. And read the stuff you like, not stuff you think you should like. Because chances are you will write in the genre you like to read. So it's important to know how other people are doing it. 3.) Carry a little notebook where ever you go. If you see something funny, someone with a cool name, interesting story idea, or when your on the bus you see a cool name, write them down. So when you need a name or idea, you will have it in your notebook. 4.) If someone tells you you'll never be a writer put on your pointiest boots and kick them in the shin.
7.How many clique books will there be?
A: So far, 12, but if we want more, there will be more.
8. Are you going to write other books?
A: Yes!
9. Any advice for people who go to clique-y schools?
A: Those girls: insecure.
10. Any glossip-girl lipgloss for sale?
A: Sorry girlies! She made that stuff up!

So that is what questions she answered me. The reason I wrote the full answer to #6 is because I want to be a writer someday and I appreciate her answering that question for me.

Braces(All Warnings)

Have you heard about braces? The things that go on the front of your teeth, yeah, those. Everyone thinks that when they have braces their lips will puff up. Guess what? They don't! Your lips look perfectly normal. Trust me, you won't look like a monkey. XD

Other people say braces hurt like heck. I am not going to object to that because you may have a different orthodontist. For mine, it only hurts when I get my wires changed or when they have to re do the brackets. Only part that hurts. For me at least. =P

Well, I hope my blog helped you understand any questions about braces. If not, just leave a comment for me and I will add it in here. Thanks. xo

The Glowsticks

Ohk so yesterday, I was at church. You may be thinking, how do glowsticks relate to church? Just read. The church was having 2 Halloween parties that day, one was for the younger kids and the other was for the older kids/teenagers. The staff for the younger party(including me) had to be there a half hour early. Even though my sister wasnt on the staff, I brought her anyway so we oculd have more help and my parents wouldn't have to drive back and forth. Good thinking, eh? During that half hour, we put out cookies and paper masks and games and prizes. The prizes were glowsticks and crap. But guess what? No one came to that party!!!!!!!

So the staff and my sister got all the prizes and cookies and masks. We hid our glowsticks in the freezer so no one could have it except for us. We made a sign that said, "Halloween Party 12-3".
That incuded both parties. When we brought the sign outside, we placed it down and looked at it. It came out beautiful. Then, a gust of wind came and took it away. Myself, being so dramatic, dropped down on my knees and yelled, "Nooooooooo!". I know, pathetic. But my knees hurt now. Good thing we made a new sign and this one didn't blow away.

After the sign incident, we decided to go inside and make paper bags puppets. It was my friend Jess, my friend Tiffany, and me. Our puppets came out to be similiar, and they were funny looking. We made a movie called, "When Paperbags Attack". The movie was about paperbags attacking....guess who....people! Funny stuff. All the parents that were there(this is the older kid party now) were staring and laughing at us. But they didn't know they were going to laugh even more.

We got bored so we decided to get our glowsticks out of the freezer. We got them to work and then went in the closet with the light off and had a dance party. Shut up! I know what you're thinking! We are not that so shut up! But anyways, we danced to songs like Thriller, 5 Speckled Frogs, Speed Racer, etc. It was fun. Very fun. And you missed it. Haha, sucks for you.

So that was my Halloween party, we I ate too much crap and got wicked hyper and now, I am here, telling you my story. Overall, church wasn't so bad yesterday, I didn't learn anything and I got permission not to go today.

I am SO SO sorry

Wait! For what am I sorry for? Yeah yeah, I don't know you, you haven't missed me, whatever! You have and you know it.

Well, I have had two other blogs and have forgotten the passwords to both. Stupid, stupid me. *smacks self*
The other ones were The World May Never Know and My Spoiled Life.

Anyways, I am Chelsea. I only blog because 1.) My aunt and sister do it, and 2.) I want to be a writer when I get older and this is really good practice.

Well, just to wrap this up I am really sorry for not blogging in almost a year and thanks for staying tuned. I PROMISE to come on more often and blog. And just to make sure I do, I will have my aunt send me emails and tell me to go blog. I will listen and blog.

So thanks,
Chelsss
